Inflatable Kayak Trips
If you want to experience the Animas river under your own control inflatable kayaks are perfect for you! These boats, also called inflatable Ducky’s, are fun and easy to maneuver. Inflatable kayaks allow you to paddle, spin and surf your way down the Animas in your own personal boat while still having instruction from an experienced guide. No previous experience is necessary, but kayakers must be at least 14 years old. Kayaking trips are only available when water levels are lower and under 1,000 cfs. Generally this begins around the end of June-early July.
Our experienced guides will give you instruction on how to make the most out of your paddling adventure and what to do on the off chance that you end up in the water. Before you get on the river, you will know everything you need to about paddling your kayak safely. Your guide will travel down the river with you and be in a nearby kayak for moral and instructional support.

Trip Itinerary for Rafting and Kayaking Trips:
- Meet at our location 305 S. Camino Del Rio • Suite V • Durango, CO 15 minutes prior to your scheduled trip time. We provide the bus shuttle for transport to and from the Animas River in Durango. The 2 hour trip is approximately 1.5 hours on the lower Animas River. The 4 hour trip is approximately 2.5 hours on the lower Animas River and includes lunch at Serious Texas BBQ. We will return you to our location after your river trip is complete.
